No employment relationship

Independent Contractor Status

Workers use Homeo as independent service providers. Nothing in this Agreement creates an employment, partnership, franchise, agency, or joint venture relationship with Homeo. Workers control how they perform accepted services, subject to law, client requirements, marketplace standards, and safety rules.

Worker responsibility

Workers are responsible for taxes, licenses, tools, insurance, permits, transportation, assistants, and compliance obligations applicable to their services.

  • Provide accurate identity, business, skill, experience, contact, tax, payout, and service-area information.
  • Complete required verification, KYC, payout onboarding, and compliance checks before receiving jobs or payouts.
  • Keep documents and profile information current.
  • Notify Homeo promptly if you can no longer lawfully or safely provide a listed service.

Professional delivery

Service Standards

  • Arrive on time or communicate delays as early as possible.
  • Review the job scope before starting and document any changes through Homeo.
  • Perform services with reasonable skill, care, safety, cleanliness, and respect for property.
  • Use appropriate tools, materials, protective equipment, and methods for the accepted service.
  • Do not accept work you are not qualified, licensed, equipped, or legally permitted to perform.

Secured payment release

Payments and Payouts

Where a job uses secured platform payments, workers should confirm the required payment state in Homeo before beginning work. Homeo may release funds after completion and approval, subject to platform fees, taxes, dispute review, chargebacks, fraud checks, payout-provider rules, and account eligibility.

  • Payouts may be delayed if verification is incomplete or a payment provider requires additional review.
  • Homeo may offset refunds, chargebacks, fees, penalties, or amounts owed from future payouts where permitted.
  • Workers must not solicit off-platform payment for jobs sourced through Homeo unless Homeo expressly permits it.

Workers should disclose material costs, diagnostic fees, travel fees, and additional charges before incurring them. Any increase to the agreed price or scope should be accepted by the client through Homeo where possible.

Evidence-based outcomes

Disputes and Quality Reviews

If a client disputes completion, quality, damage, timing, or pricing, Homeo may review job messages, photos, completion notes, payment state, worker history, and client history. Homeo may release funds, refund funds, split funds, require correction, restrict accounts, or take other marketplace action.

Safety and trust

Worker Conduct

  • Do not harass, threaten, discriminate, misrepresent credentials, or pressure clients into off-platform arrangements.
  • Do not bring unauthorized people to a job site unless agreed and legally permitted.
  • Do not access private areas or personal information unrelated to the job.
  • Do not use Homeo for illegal, unsafe, fraudulent, or deceptive services.

Homeo may use completion rate, ratings, response time, cancellations, disputes, availability, verification status, service radius, and client feedback to determine worker visibility, eligibility, and marketplace ranking.

Homeo may suspend, restrict, or terminate worker access for policy violations, safety concerns, fraud risk, failed verification, repeated poor performance, payment issues, legal requests, or conduct that harms marketplace trust.
